: :  Tempus CARDS CD JEP 18046-2003 Project Dissemination
Dissemination & sustainability

The main objective of this project for new computer studies curricula is twofold in directions to improve management and business education of future IT graduates and to establish new technology driven basics to produce IT products in e-Business, mobile and wireless world. For this purpose in this project we introduce new courses for undergraduate and graduate studies, new teaching environment based on practice laboratory exercises and interactive response system. In order to make the outputs of the project available to those who are not directly involved in the project we plan several dissemination actions for general target public. These will be achieved by printing information brochures, flyers, posters, web publishing and multimedia CD production. New courses will meet the ECTS and Bologna declaration motivating the Universities to adopt all the other courses.
Dissemination will take also part with presentation seminars organized for other faculties at the universities in Partner country, for both teachers and students for project objectives, and for general public. There will be three types of presentations: 1) for benefits of CS with new improved curricula for potential students and SMEs; 2) for new teaching methods with IRS (Interactive response system) and 3) for new teaching environment and labs.

SUSTAINABILITY

The outcomes from this project at universities will have durable character (new courses, new teaching environment, new teaching methods and materials: computer laboratories for student exercises, Web page presentations, textbooks, manuals and Interactive Response System).
There are several reasons for sustainability and why they will last after the end of Tempus financing:

1) University will continue to implement the proposed curricula;
2) Both the students and teachers will feel comfortable with the new teaching environment;
3) SMEs will appreciate graduated students with qualified skills;
4) The students will adopt the proposed knowledge in management and business to produce quality products;
5) University will continue to maintain the labs and new teaching environment;
6) The teachers will be glad to implement new teaching environment with interactive response system.

After the termination of this JEP the involved Universities will be well prepared for other multinational programs with strategic goal to achieve the level of education in EU countries. The Center for new technologies will continue to work with wireless and web e-Business lab, offering courses and services from project topics to other interested students, institutions and SMEs. These activities have support from the declaration brought by the Parliament as a form of national strategy. The committee “e-Macedonia for all” as advisor body to the president of the republic also supports the project objectivities. The project objectivities also make further possibilities for Socrates and other EU programmes such as EU FP6 Networks of excellence.
